BSM Crew Service Centre Philippines Inc. (BSM-CSC-PH), formerly known as Philippine Hammonia Shipagency Inc. (PHS) formed on 01 July 2003 following the merger between Philippine Hanse and Hammonia Marine Services. Philippine Hanse Ship Agency was incorporated in 1979 and Hammonia Marine Services was incorporated in 1981. Both companies serviced the SCHULTE GROUP OF COMPANIES by recruiting and supplying competent, experienced and well trained seafarers for the Group and its international clients.

The staff members of both Philippine Hanse and Hammonia were integrated within BSM-CSC-PH thus providing our Principals and their seafarers with wealth of experience from the outset and of course dedicated service with a smile.


As of December 2007, BSM-CSC-PH had more than 5,000 seafarers deployed on board 400 vessels comprising of the following types: LPG Tankers (Pressurized, Semi Refrigerated & Fully Refrigerated), LNG, Crude Oil, Product, and Chemical Tankers, Container, Roll-On Roll-Off, Baco, and Bulk Carriers, Offshore support vessels as well as FPSO's.

BSM-CSC-PH has undoubtedly benefited from the almost 50 years combined experience of its forerunners in the Philippine manning industry. We continue to build on the invaluable experience so far gained and have good standing with Government Agencies, Maritime Unions, Manning Associations, Training Centers, Medical Clinics, P&I correspondents and the likes. Our reputation was rewarded in 1989 when the company

was elevated into the POEA Hall of Fame and we continue to frequently receive Awards of Excellence and Citations from POEA to this day. In 2002, the compnay was honoured to receive one of the First International Employer's Awards and Presidential Award of Distinction on behalf of our Principals. In 2005, we were again honoured as recipients of the same awards.

BSM-CSC-PH operates from a modern, office in Makati City. Our location allows for easy access to Government Agencies, Training Centers, and Medical Clinics as well as to the International Airport. The office provides us with a comfortable working environment from which we redeploy ex seafarers and recruit of both experienced and fresh graduates to augment the pool we draw on and to service an increasing number of vessels.


We have excellent seafarer retention rates and our career development prospects for young Filipino seafarers are among the best in the industry. Evidence of this is that many seafarers have remained loyal for more than 20 years, which is justification of our motto "Quality Service to Employers and an Efficient Caring Service to Crew".

All seafarer’s data is maintained electronically in a database that is shared by our Principals, therefore making the exchange of information a seamless exercise.

In 1996 the company attained ISO 9002 Quality Management certification from Lloyds Register as recognition of our commitment to providing a top quality service to our customers and our seafarers. This has since been superseded by an ISO 9001:2000 certificate from Lloyds in 2002.


The Company has been a corporate member of FAME (Filipino Association for Mariners Employment) since 1979 and wholeheartedly supports the goals of the association in the promotion of Filipino the seafarer as well as promoting quality and transparency throughout the Filipino manning industry.
